Due to a rather annoying pop up followed by a redirection to BuddyHost website, I felt obliged to abandon the old blog but, not erase it. One can always go back to "Kith-n-Kin.blogspot.com".
I did everything I could think of to remove the pest, including hiring McAfee. We both failed, it steadfastly remained unchanged.
